María Elena, the resulting from the work of Melanie Smith in conjunction with Plataforma Atacama, was exhibited for the first time in the framework of her SOLO Show "Farsa y Artificio" at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA) held between 18 May and October 7, 2018; and in later in 2018 at the Liverpool Biennial (event held between July 14 and October 28), it was displayed as a video installation.
